O, Mare Mucenice şi Tămăduitorule Pantelimon! Roagă-te lui Dumnezeu pentru noi şi nu lăsa să rămână în noi bolile trupeşti şi sufleteşti de care suferim. Vindecă bolile pricinuite de patimile şi păcatele noastre. Bolnavi suntem noi de lene, de slăbiciune trupească şi sufletească – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon.
Bolnavi suntem noi de dorinţe şi împătimire de lucrurile trecătoare pământeşti – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon. Bolnavi suntem, o Sfinte Pantelimon. Bolnavi suntem noi de uitare pentru lucrarea mântuirii, pentru păcatele, neputinţele şi pentru datoriile noastre – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon. Bolnavi suntem noi de ţinerea în mintea noastră a răului, de mânie, de ură, de tulburare – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon.
O, Tămăduitorule a Sfântului Athos şi a întregii lumi! Bolnavi suntem noi de invidie, mândrie, îngâmfare, preamărire, de rând cu nemernicia şi netrebnicia noastră – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon.
Bolnavi suntem noi de multele şi feluritele căderi în poftele trupului: în desfrânare, în mâncarea cea fără de saţ, în nereţinere, în desfătare – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon. Bolnavi suntem noi de prea mult somn, de prea multă vorbire, de vorbire deşartă şi de cea săvârşită cu judecată – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon.
O, Sfinte Pantelimon! Ne dor ochi noştri de privirile păcătoase. Ne dor urechile noastre de auzul cuvintelor deşarte, a cuvintelor rele, defăimătoare. Ne dor mâinile noastre neîntinse spre săvârşirea rugăciunii şi spre fapta cea de milostenie – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon.
Ne dor picioarele noastre nepornite grabnic spre Biserica Domnului, dar care uşor se îndreaptă spre căi rătăcite şi spre locuinţele acestei lumi – tămăduieşte-ne pe noi, Sfinte Pantelimon. Dar cel mai mult ne dor limba şi buzele noastre de rostirea cuvintelor zadarnice, desarte, urâte, de nerostirea cuvintelor de rugăciune, de laudă sau de rostirea acestora cu nepăsare, cu neluare aminte şi fără de pricepere– tămăduieşte-ne, o, Milostive!
Tot trupul nostru este bolnav:
Bolnavă este mintea noastră şi lipsită de înţelegere, înţelepciune şi de cugetare.
Bolnavă este voinţa noastră, care se întoarce de la lucrurile sfinte şi se îndreaptă spre lucruri păcătoase, dăunătoare nouă şi neplăcute lui Dumnezeu.
Sick is our imagination, which does not want and is not able to realize both the death and eternal suffering of sinners, as well as the Beatitudes of the Heavenly Kingdom, the wrath of the Lord, the passions of Christ on the cross, His crucifixion. O, Saint Panteleimon, heal us.
Everything inside us hurts.
Our soul, with all its powers and abilities, is helpless.
Our body with all its members is weak.
Heal us, Saint Panteleimon, the Silverless Healer, the Most Loving Doctor and the Servant of the Most Holy Theotokos. Do not abandon us to the scourge of diseases and infirmities, but heal us with the power of your Grace, and we will praise the Most Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Most Holy Theotokos who sends you to serve the sick, and we will give thanks to your healing grace forever. Amen.
Prayer for healing to the Lord Jesus Christ:
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior of the World, have mercy on us, help us, heal us from the diseases of the soul, mind and body! Guide us on the right path, as You guided all the Saints of all ages! Generous, Most Holy and Most Loving God, Who healed many, protected them, giving them the holy teaching, as well as many other holy gifts, give us a drop of Your Grace, as You gave to the Saints who listened to You, heal us, teach us and help us to stay on the right path! Lord Jesus, have mercy on Your servants (names) and grant us, our loved ones and all people, healing and everything that is useful for our souls, spirits, minds and bodies, so that by working well and with success we may reach the Kingdom of Heaven! Lord, the Greatest Healer and Healer of all who run to You, as the One who has invincible powers, we pray to You to deliver us from spiritual and bodily illnesses, for You we praise, glorify and thank You, we Your servants!
